PHILOSOPHY: Retelling stories in society
Why do we retell stories? Sometimes, I feel life is the same story being retold time and time again each time becoming more and more relatable. The story of human suffering (and God) has been told by people who have died long before us. Each generation tells the story differently. The archaic civilizations used folktales, the renaissance civilizations used art, the enlightened civilizations used books and newspapers, the information civilizations use radio (inclusive of music), television (inclusive of movies and anime) and video games. Each time, the story is told to a wider and wider audience.
Folktales never reached all people, art never reached all people, books never reached all people and radio. television and video games still have not reached all people BUT at this point we have media for all ages to understand storytelling, for all generations to understand the human condition.
For some reason, the universe seems bent towards justice for all. No matter how selfish human beings may get, and we see it all the time, the universe (God) seems to always use our bad for good.
